Last week I participated in the European Researchers’ Night 2022 as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow. The European Researchers’ Night is a Europe-wide public event, which displays the diversity of science and its impact on citizens’ daily lives in fun, inspiring ways. This year the event took place in 26 countries on Friday 30 September 2022. In Cyprus, the event was organized by the Research and Innovation Foundation and took place at the Eleftheria Square in downtown Nicosia.

At the event, I enjoyed meeting young students, teachers, and parents. Through my interactions, I introduced them to the world of computer science, told them about the important role datacenters play in our modern society, and informed them how my research at the intersection on datacenter computing and energy efficiency can enable greener datacenters.

Overall, it was a fun and memorable experience, and I am looking forward to the next iteration.
